Directions from the South & West
Take the A38 from Birmingham towards Derby. Leave at 1st Burton exit – A5121 (signposted “Bass Museum”). Follow signs for Burton, into Wellington Road. Pass Condor Structures, Marmite etc. At next traffic island, straight across into Wellington Street. At traffic lights (Town Hall on left), straight on. Take right hand lane (1-way system), 1st right into Byrkley Street. Take left hand lane, 1st left into Derby Street. At traffic island (Derby Turn pub on left), turn right over railway bridge. Straight across lights, pass Bass Museum on right. Straight over next lights (TC Harrison-Ford dealer on left). Move over to right hand lane after the lights. Entrance to Clay House car park is approximately 100m past the lights on the right hand side. Clay House is the only house along the row with steps up to the front door, and is after the car park entrance.
Directions from the North
Take the A38 from Derby towards Birmingham. Leave at 1st Burton exit – A5121 (signposted “Bass Museum”).
Pass Pirelli, etc to 1st roundabout, take 2nd exit (signposted “Bass Museum”). Follow road right through to junction with traffic lights. Turn left and stay in the left hand lane (Bass Museum on the right). Straight over next lights (TC Harrison-Ford dealer on left). Move over to right hand lane after the lights on the right hand side. Entrance to Clay House car park is approximately 100m past the lights on the right hand side. Clay House is the only house along the row with steps up the front door, and is after the car park entrance.
