Lucy joined Swindell & Pearson Ltd, having previously worked in private practice in
Birmingham. Lucy is a qualified European and UK Patent Attorney, with more than five years experience in the patent profession. She has advised clients of all sizes, from private individuals and SMEs to Universities and multinationals, and she is committed to client care.
Lucy has a degree in mathematics and physics from the
University of Warwick. She has drafted and prosecuted both UK and overseas patents in a wide range of technologies, ranging from recycling to mechanical wave energy generation to high tech telecommunications. She also advises on registered and unregistered design protection.
Lucy recently spent three months working as a volunteer for Raleigh International in India. She spends her spare time mountain biking, hiking, bird watching and listening to Muse.
“Choosing my favourite invention is difficult, because every invention, no matter how small, has something clever or surprising about it. However, an invention of which I am particularly fond is the lens, because without it I would be unable to take photos, watch birds, or see.”
