Victor Povid is a chartered trade mark attorney and a member of the firm’s trade mark practice group, a member of the UK Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys and an authorised litigator in the High Court.

Victor’s caseload includes work relating to all aspects of trade marks in many different commercial fields, including retail, fashion, charities, information technology and technical products.

Victor manages IP portfolios for national, regional and local companies and advises on pre-use clearance, avoiding potential conflict with earlier owners, obtaining protection, exploitation and also enforcement of trade marks. His clients range from individuals to global trade mark owners.

Victor seeks to fully understand the big picture and the commercial space in which his clients operate and are likely to expand or diversify into, and to give advice that is legally sound and commercially relevant to his clients’ business requirements.

Victor has a wide experience of contentious proceedings and ex-parte proceedings before the UK Intellectual Property Office and is keen to obtain experience of litigation before the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court.

Victor has acted as a group seminar leader on the LLM, Intellectual Property course at Nottingham Trent University, presenting seminars, and assessing coursework on patents, trade marks, designs, copyright and confidential information.

Victor joined the firm in 2021, although he has a wealth of experience built up with previous firms stretching back to the 1990s.
