European Patent Validation in Moldova

An agreement has been signed by the European Patent Office and the State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova to enable European patents to be validated in Moldova.

The European Patent Office (EPO) has announced that it has signed an agreement with the State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova (AGEPI) to enable European patents to be validated in Moldova. The Moldovan Government has yet to approve the agreement and pass implementing legislation. Moldova will become an extension state rather than a contracting state to the European Patent Convention as part of this agreement.
