On Friday 25th September 2015, Swindell & Pearson staff pulled together to participate in the Macmillan Coffee Morning by baking some truly delicious cakes to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
On Friday 25th September 2015, Swindell & Pearson staff pulled together to participate in the Macmillan Coffee Morning by baking some truly delicious cakes to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
As more than one in three of us will get cancer at some point in our lifetimes, we felt this was an important fundraising event that we had to get involved with.
Macmillan Cancer Support “are a source of support, helping with all the things that people affected by cancer want and need. It's not only patients who live with cancer, we also help carers, families and communities|. We fund nurses and other specialist health care professionals| and build cancer care centres”|. Our staff baked lots of fantastic treats for all to enjoy. Highlights included red velvet and Oreo cupcakes, scones, Rice Krispies treats, coffee cake and some truly delicious muffins.
In total we managed to raise in excess of £150.00 for this worthy charity. The Macmillan Coffee Morning was a huge success at Swindell & Pearson and we certainly look forward to participating in this worthy event again next year.
